After a few busy months for both Kenny Spring and Veritas House, we finally got to catch up and present their amazing team with a cheque for $1,500. Winter Wills raises vital funds each year, with 10% of fees generated from Wills, Power of Attorney, and Enduring Guardian documents drafted by our team going to valuable support services in the Bathurst and Oberon communities.
The money raised this year has now been allocated by Veritas House for emergency brokerage funds to purchase items to assist families by addressing some major vulnerabilities, such as:
- Assisting with petrol or public transport so families can attend appointments with support services;
- Purchasing school uniforms, school supplies, or to fund a school excursion to support the education of the children; and
- Assistance in paying for glasses for children or young people.
Veritas House is a charity with close ties to the Kenny Spring team, and provides valuable accommodation and support services to children, young people, and their families. Each year through their Youth and Family Support Service, Veritas supports disadvantaged families in the Bathurst and Oberon communities to access services, reduce family conflict and ensure the basic needs of children and young people in the family are met.
If you missed out on Winter Wills, It's not too late to get organised!
