Centacare Bathurst play an important role in Family Dispute Resolution and programs to support separating couples in the region.

Centacare Bathurst have announced that they will be running the Keeping Kids in Mind (KKIM) program for separating parents where there is high conflict. KKIM was launched in 2011 and has been met with great success.

The program assists parents in reducing the impact and harm that separation can cause to children, particularly in high conflict situations.

As family lawyers we see the impact of conflict on children through our work every day. A self reflective program such as KKIM arms parents with important skills to reduce conflict, improve communication and secure a platform for the parenting of their children going forward.

Running over 5 weeks the course covers issues such as grief and loss, attachment, resilience, communication and conflict resolution. These are all key issues that separating couples need to deal with and focus upon, to ensure the best possible outcome for their children, and the important relationship that they have with their parents.

The next Bathurst Keeping Kids in Mind program runs each Thursday from 12 noon until 3pm, starting on 9 August and running until 6 September 2018. To register, contact Centacare on 6331 8944.
